Essence of the Season

Essence of the Season™ lifts spirits and heightens spiritual awareness while refreshing and purifying the air. This exquisite collection of therapeutic grade essential oils and resins possesses rich, exotic fragrances that relate directly to the holiday season. The essential oils can be diffused in the home while the gum resins can be used as potpourri or in the fireplace to release rich fragrance.

Contains: Two Single Oils (5ml bottles): Frankincense (Boswellia carteri) and Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha). One Blend (5ml): Christmas Spirit™. Two Gum Resins: Frankincense and Myrrh.

How to use:

Frankincense: For dietary or topical use. When using as a supplement, dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid such as soy or rice milk. Possible skin sensitivity. If pregnant or under a doctor's care, consult your physician. Dilution recommended for both topical and internal use. Dilute before using on sensitive areas such as the face, neck, genital area, etc. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid using on infants and very small children.

Myrrh: For dietary, aromatic, or topical use. When using as a supplement, dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid such as goat's or rice milk. Possible skin sensitivity. If pregnant or under a doctor's care, consult your physician.

Christmas Spirit™: For aromatic use. Diffuse or sprinkle on logs in the fireplace, on Christmas trees, on cedar chips for dresser drawers, or on potpourri. Use all year round. Possible skin sensitivity. If pregnant or under a doctor's care, consult your physician. Dilution recommended for both topical and internal use. Dilute before using on sensitive areas such as the face, neck, genital area, etc. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid using on infants and very small children.

Tips for uses:

Frankincense (Boswellia carterii) One of the gifts of the wise men to our Savior, frankincense would have been rubbed all over the body of the baby. Egyptian tradition says that “Frankincense is good for everything from gout to a broken head” or in other words “good from head to toe”. If in doubt, use Frankincense. Other names for frankincense are “olibanum” or “Oil from Lebanon”.
Put a drop on an insect bite to help reduce swelling and speed healing.
Apply 1-2 drops of on temples and/or back of neck to help improve concentration
Apply 1-3 drops on each foot to help strengthen the immune system.
Dilute 1 drop in 1tsp. honey or 4 oz. rice milk and ingest daily for health maintenance.
Dilute 50/50 with V-6 Mixing Oil and apply to a blistered area 3-5 times daily as needed.
Diffuse or inhale from the bottle to help with mood elevation.
Dilute 50/50 with V-6 Mixing Oil and massage 6-9 drops onto each foot at night to help with sore feet
Apply 1-3 drops to shoulders stomach and bottoms of feet to help with low mood induced insomnia.
Apply 1-3 drops on nails and at base of nails, 3 times per week to help strengthen brittle or weak nails.
Rub a few drops on stretch marks 2 times a day.

Myrrh (commiphora myrrha) has one of the highest levels of sesquiterpenes, a class of compounds that has direct effects on the hypothalamus, pituitary and amygdala, the seat of our emotions. Research in Italy demonstrated that myrrh has pain-relieving properties as well, which is probably why it was administered to Jesus prior to his crucifixion.
Drop 2-3 drops on a dried log and allow time for oil to soak in before putting the log on the fire.
One drop of myrrh oil on your canker sores may help them to disappear.
Rubbing 1-2 drops on your gums may help heal gingivitis.
Mix 2 to 5 drops in water for a excellent mouthwash.
Use 1ml oil in 15ml carrier oil for bronchitis and colds with thick phlegm.
Mix 10 drops with 25ml of water, shake well and use externally on wounds.
Putting 1 drop on a blemish may help it to go away.

Blend with sandalwood to help with vitaligo, a skin condition where there are patches of skin without pigmentation.
